Resume Gaps are an Opportunity

What is happening? Before we careen off the rails and assume this program is targeted at stay at home moms or dads, let’s realize there are many reasons for resume gaps- long term illnesses, mid career education breaks, moves, etc… Utah is tackling this issue with Return Utah, a state program to attract people with glaring resume gaps.

Why is this important? This is modeled after the private sector. Since 2008 Goldman Sachs has had a return ship program. The Governor of Utah, with insight from Goldman Sachs as Utah built its return to work program, issued Executive Order 2021-8

How will this be important? New Mexico and Washington are watching Utah which has found the program a way to fill state jobs too.
