Local swap: property tax for sales tax

Missouri and Texas maybe two peas in a pod. Missouri legislators are looking for a way to lessen property tax burdens. An option being discussed is that in lieu of local districts increasing property taxes, the districts could increase revenue with a sales tax increase instead.
