Legislating no land lines

California is considering whether AT&T should be a carrier of last resort for landlines. By excluding AT&T from this definition, they would no longer be required to provide landlines. Besides copper theft, they say only 5% still have landlines. I have a landline. Doing my part to keep Austin weird. AB470 (2025 | CA)
