Data center tax break bill with consumer protections

Colorado has a proposal to codify tax incentives for data centers while tying those tax breaks to consumer protections. In exchange for tax breaks, the bill will “require the electric utility that will provide power to the facility to “verify that the data center will not cause unreasonable cost impacts to other utility ratepayers.” HB26-1030
