Billion dollar wildfire fund

Oregon passed SB 1177 (2025 | OR)  that creates a billion dollar wildfire fund by using funds from a tax rebate fund. (Don’t worry your pretty little self, an overwhelming majority of Oregonians will continue to receive their tax rebates.) The need for a wildfire fund was raised by the Governor who wants a stable and reliable fund source for natural disasters.
