45% film tax credits

Illinois has created a film tax credit system that provides for up to 45% of film investments. This puts Illinois on par with the tax credits in California, New York, and Georgia.

Supporters say the increased film incentives lure and keep film jobs in Illinois. Economically, the credits keep Illinois competitive and return  $6.81 on the dollar.
