1st State Chief Resilience Officer

Virginia has the nation’s first standalone Chief Resilience Officer to prepare the state for disasters. What does this even mean? 

Virginia’s CRO will oversee an “interagency team to support coordination, planning, and implementation of resilience efforts. Virginia also announced $67 million in grants and loans for community resilience.”
